CABLE INLET WITH PRESSURE TEST POSSIBILITY
Purpose of cable inlet:
sealing the electrical cable in the ESP wellheads for operating pressure up to 5000 psi inclusive.
Basic advantages:
- the ability to perform quick pressure testing during installation and during operation.
- possibility of installation on active production valves.
- ease of installation.
- the possibility of filling cores with armor protection removed with a special compound that protects the outer insulating material of the cores from contact with the well fluid, which ensures long-term performance of the cable.
Cable inlet design features:
Cable inlets with rubber seals in use today are the weakest point of industrial safety in electric pump fittings: the operator is not able to check their tightness. We offer the design wich solves this problem.
Sealing is carried out with rubber packers, shaped like a truncated cone, through which the cable wires pass. The diameter of the cable wires is at the customer’s request. The packer is tensioned by a threaded plug through a thrust bearing, which makes it possible to create crimping forces for each cable core that are 1.5 times higher than in conventional cable inlets.
