Anatoly Vasilyevich Chernov was born on November 11, 1948 in the city of Zlatoust, Chelyabinsk region. In 1967 he graduated from the Zlatoust Industrial College named after P. P. Anosov with a degree in foundry production technician.
From 1967 to 1970 he served in the Soviet Army.
After service, he worked as a welder at the Zlatoust Metallurgical Plant.
Then for nine years he worked at the Kataysk Pump Plant in the Kurgan Region: senior process technician, design engineer of the chief metallurgist's department, head of the external cooperation department, deputy director of production.
In 1977 he graduated from the Ural Polytechnic Institute named after S.M. Kirov with a degree in mechanical engineering technology, metal-cutting machines and tools.
Since November 1979, Anatoly Vasilyevich has been working at the Korvet enterprise as deputy director for production.
From July 1983 to July 2020 – General Director of Korvet JSC.
Currently holds the post of Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Korvet JSC.

Under the leadership of Chernov A.V. The company implemented a conversion program based on import-substituting products. The production of equipment for the oil and gas industry, previously not manufactured in the Russian Federation, has been mastered, meeting international standards in all respects. Korvet JSC was the first in the Urals region to receive a certificate from the American Petroleum Institute and a quality system according to ISO-9001, and then implemented an integrated management system (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 - quality, ecology and industrial safety). In recent years, according to the results of a survey of oil companies, Korvet has been recognized as the best manufacturer in the Christmas Tree category.
AK Korvet, displacing imported supplies, is constantly increasing the volume of supplies to Russian companies PJSC Gazprom, OJSC Surgutneftegaz, PJSC Lukoil, PJSC Gazpromneft and more than 120 more enterprises extracting, transporting and processing oil and gas. Thanks to the high quality and efficiency of order fulfillment, the company has taken a leading position in the Russian oil and gas equipment market. Products are also supplied to Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Egypt, India, Iraq, Oman, Serbia, and Syria.
The Korvet company built 10 residential buildings, a hotel-type dormitory, and 4 sectional dormitories. The total area of the housing stock was about 70 thousand square meters. The company's funds were used to build a clinic and the Aurora children's camp. In the 1990s, these objects were transferred to the city as municipal property. With funds from AK Korvet and personal donations from Anatoly Vasilyevich Chernov, work on the restoration of the Cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky in the city of Kurgan was completed in 2016, the total amount was more than 200 million rubles.
Founded thanks to the support of A.V. Chernov in 2007, the Center for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopedics “Ariadna” deals with the treatment of diseases of the spine and joints, rehabilitation after injuries and operations. Patients are received by doctors of various specialties: orthopedists, neurologists, therapists, doctors of rehabilitation and sports medicine, physical therapy. The center’s services support not only the health of factory workers, but also patients from other cities of Russia, and sometimes from other countries.
