Anatoly Vasilyevich Chernov was born on November 11, 1948 in the city of Zlatoust, Chelyabinsk region. In 1967 he graduated from the Zlatoust Industrial College named after P. P. Anosov with a degree in foundry production technician.
From 1967 to 1970 he served in the Soviet Army.
After service, he worked as a welder at the Zlatoust Metallurgical Plant.
Then for nine years he worked at the Kataysk Pump Plant in the Kurgan Region: senior process technician, design engineer of the chief metallurgist's department, head of the external cooperation department, deputy director of production.
In 1977 he graduated from the Ural Polytechnic Institute named after S.M. Kirov with a degree in mechanical engineering technology, metal-cutting machines and tools.
Since November 1979, Anatoly Vasilyevich has been working at the Korvet enterprise as deputy director for production.
